Navel Amulets All are old time beads on native smoked deer hide or my native white brain tan deer. These were used in the past to encase the childs navel cord and hung from cradleboards and later their clothing. Used for protection from bad spirits and kept throughout life. Turtles were girls and lizards were for the boys. |
